The next free game from Epic for the holidays is here, and if you are a fan of open-world survival games, this one may be right up your alley. For the next 24 hours, you can grab TerraTech for free on the Epic Games Store, and it should be a fantastic one to enjoy on the Steam Deck.

The game, which is usually $24.99 when not on sale (it is currently on sale on Steam for $6.24), has you roaming around through a huge world, consistently getting new parts to add and design your own vehicles. It's an interesting take on the genre, and it reminds me a bit of LEGOs when it comes to building, but it should be a great time regardless. And yes, you can do all of this with friends online!
TerraTech is currently rated Steam Deck Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard when you need to type something in, and having to possible use a community controller configuration. It says it has full controller support and a great rating on ProtonDB, so it may just need an update to its rating on Steam. Either way, it should be a great experience on the go!

You can get TerraTech for free on the Epic Games Store, which can be played on your Steam Deck via the Heroic Games Launcher (which you can find on the Discover Store). It will only be free until tomorrow at 8am PT, so grab it quickly while you can!
