There are some great new Steam Deck Verified and Playable games to highlight this week. Heave Ho 2 and Fogpiercer got the green checkmark, while the upcoming Corsair Cove got its playable badge.

Here are the 10 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazingly out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the system and how it can be fixed.

Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 7/13/26 - 7/19/26

Corsair Cove (Playable)

Build a sprawling pirate haven, raise a fleet to explore the high seas, and take on the Crown to keep the Age of Piracy alive! From ale to flintlock pistols, and from scallywags to swashbucklers, you’ll need to manage complex production chains and govern a rowdy crew to reign supreme over the seas!

The game will be released on July 31st and is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, showing incorrect controller icons, needing to bring up the virtual keyboard manually, needing to change the graphical settings manually, and small in-game text.

Heave Ho 2 (Verified)

The bedlam is back, and now it’s online too. Grab and swing through all-new weird and wonderful worlds with up to four players in online and local co-op and versus play.

The game is $9.99 and is rated Verified.

D-Topia (Verified)

Step into the world of D-topia in this gentle-paced puzzle adventure. In D-topia, life is curated by artificial intelligence to maximize happiness. As the newest Facilitator, it’s up to you to solve puzzles to keep the D-topia residents happy and the facility running.

The game is on sale for $17.99 until July 28th and is rated Verified.

Fogpiercer (Verified)

Fight through the fog in this sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder where clever positioning, explosive chain-reactions, and the environment itself can make the difference between life and death.

The game is on sale for $14.99 until July 31st and is rated Verified.

Cozy Grove Camp Spirit (Verified)

All those who are lost deserve kindness. Help cute, ghostly bears find peace in this relaxing sequel to the beloved life-sim game Cozy Grove, where kindness rules and new crafting, building, and camping island adventures await.

The game is on sale for $17.99 until July 22nd and is rated Verified.

Happy's Humble Burger Cult (Playable)

The original cooking horror returns in an unhinged co-op experience for 1-4 players. Grill burgers, serve customers, and hit your quota before the kitchen turns into a nightmare. When Asset Joy begins her hunt, try to escape alive and extract your hard-earned cash to survive another shift.

The game is on sale for $7.99 until July 23rd and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons.

The Mermaid Mask (Verified)

An impossible locked-room murder: Captain Mortuga lies dead beside an ancient cauldron aboard the world’s strangest submarine, crewed by sketchy suspects. A handcrafted point-and-click with sharp humour and tricky puzzles. Dive into the next mystery from the creators of Tangle Tower & Crow Country.

The game is on sale for $17.99 until July 23rd and is rated Verified.

Dead Weight (Playable)

Face the Ancient Gods! Set the sails of your flying pirate ship and embark on a roguelite adventure in the steampunk world of Dead Weight. Explore floating islands in search of loot. Choose a class and enjoy turn-based tactical combat on tiny battlefields where every step matters.

The game is on sale for $9.74 until July 30th and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons and small in-game text.

Dread Fields (Verified)

A slow-burn folk farming horror. You bought an isolated farm to start a new life. Your peaceful routine is shattered when the former owner's terrible secrets rise from beneath the ground.

The game is $6.99 and is rated Verified.

Disgaea Mayhem (Playable, but shouldn't be)

Magichange into action with this brand new take on the Disgaea franchise! It's time to fight your own battles with responsive, action-packed combat.

The game will be released on July 23rd and is rated Playable due to minor graphical issues and needing to change the resolution manually.

However, the game is nowhere near what I would consider playable. The graphical artifacting is horrible, with performance that varies wildly and never gets above 40 FPS. As of writing, I would not consider this game playable and would avoid it on the Steam Deck.
