Ever booted a game on your Steam Deck and seen those neat little animations that show you what buttons you'll be using to play the game? Well, the latest Steam client update has added 3 more of those, except this time, they're for the Steam Controller, a product we think is very close to release, and this news just fuels the fire even more.

These animations were noticed by pepeizq over on Reddit, and you can find them in the /steamui/movies folder in your Steam files if you have the beta update yourself.

Given that the original release dates for the Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and Steam Frame were "Early 2026", I would be surprised if the Steam Controller isn't with us before the Summer. While the Steam Machine and Frame are seemingly delayed due to supply issues with RAM and SSD storage components, these issues shouldn't affect the Controller.

Are you excited to get your hands on the Steam Controller? Let us know in the comments.
