I remember seeing StarVaders at PAX East and loving the game. It's a fusion of deckbuilding and grid-based strategy to fight back against an alien invasion. There are some game-breaking combos and the ability to rewind time to make sure you can protect humanity effectively. It's great, and the newest patch should make it a bit better to play on the Steam Deck.

In the new update, there are two changes that I would say are great for the Steam Deck. The first is a specific fix that should keep the artifact reward from going off the screen during the globe scene. The second is cloud save optimizations, which should make it work cross-platform, and this would include desktop to Steam Deck.
The rest of the update is focused on fixes across the board, like invisible cursors, missing tags, achievement improvements, quick restart breaking, and more. This is also in anticipation of the upcoming 1.2 update, which will include new invaders, two new packs, and new achievements. It's slated to be released on September 29th, with the next big update (1.3) coming by November 21st.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

StarVaders is on sale for $22.49 until September 6th and is rated Verified.
