If you ever wanted to run around as a Squirrel and build out your own home in the forest, Squirreled Away is the game for you. You will run around and explore, gather, and craft to build your own treehouse, which can be fully done alone or with friends. It looks like a blast, and should be better to play on the Steam Deck right out of the box with the newest update.

In the new update, we have a new set of default settings for the Steam Deck. These new settings should reduce CPU and GPU usage and significantly improve performance without needing to change anything yourself. Technically, this could have been done manually before the update, but now we don't have to do anything ourselves, and that makes it easier to play right out of the box.
The new update also comes with a new item to teleport between two different places. Just build the Telly-porter in two different locations, and you can go back and forth as you please. The main menu performs better, there have been different UI fixes, and the "Take me to the River" achievement has been fixed and is working properly again.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Squirreled Away is on sale for $9.74 until July 27th and is rated Playable due to needing to manually change the graphical settings for optimal play. This update should have fixed this one issue, so hopefully we will see the green checkmark come soon.
