RKGK was announced not too long ago as a flashy, neon-drenched 3D platformer about fighting back against an evil corporation, but its launch has already come and gone. Now, a week after release, the first patch is here, and it addresses the game's graphical settings on the Steam Deck so you can have a painless time playing on the go.
Specifically, the game will now default to using DX12, and on Steam Decks, the shadow quality will default to High, and FSR will automatically be set to Quality. Presumably, there were some dips in performance originally, and the developers introduced the use of FSR is a way to combat those dips without losing much visual fidelity. Either way, Valve seems to agree as RKGK has received the Steam Deck Verified badge.
Aside from this change, the update only included a couple of bug fixes, but it's great to see that the first patch the game got was so that they could improve the experience on the Steam Deck and get that Verified rating.
RKGK is available on Steam now for $19.99, it is Steam Deck Verified, and as you can see, the developers are actively working to make the experience on the Deck a pleasant one, so you needn't worry about purchasing this one for your Deck.
