A new Proton Experimental update was released that fixes up some issues with a couple of titles. Arc Raiders and Trove were both fixed, and Crysis 2 Remastered won't hang on game load when ray tracing is on. We also have fixes for DIRT 5 and controller support improvements for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

The new update should automatically download if you already have the experimental layer. If not, just search for Proton Experimental in the Steam store on your Steam Deck and download.

Proton Experimental 6/24/26 Update Changelog:

  • Fixed DIRT 5 crashing on CPUs with hybrid cores.
  • Improved controller support on desktops in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
  • Fixed Arc Raiders being broken on some setups after a recent game update.
  • Fixed Trove Public Test Server failing to launch after a recent game update.
  • Fixed Proton 11 regressions:
    • Crysis 2 Remastered should no longer hang on game load when ray tracing is enabled.
