For some of the biggest games, as well as those with kernel-level anti-cheat, streaming is the only way to enjoy them on the Steam Deck. Xbox's xCloud is one of my favorites, but NVIDIA's GeForce NOW is a close second. It is an awesome streaming service that allows you to play your games through a more powerful computer to make your gaming experience much nicer. Recently, NVIDIA has just made getting the service running on your Steam Deck much easier.

In a new blog post published today, NVIDIA unveiled 24 new games that are coming to the library this month, including Hellblade 2, INDIKA, The Rogue Prince of Persia, and Norland. These are awesome games, and it's great to see them. To top it all off, they also added a new way to install and set up GeForce NOW on the Steam Deck.

Specifically, NVIDIA created a script that sets up GeForce NOW for the Steam Deck's Game Mode. When you download and launch it, it will download Google Chrome (if you don't have it already), set up Flatpak settings for Gamepad use, and then add GeForce NOW to Steam. I tested installing this on my deck, and it works quite well. The script automatically launches Steam in Big Picture mode, so you do have to exit that first before going back to Game Mode, but once you do, it works like a charm! The gamepad controls work exceptionally well, and it's nice to have a quick way to access the streaming service.

You can download the GeForce NOW script by clicking here. When you do, go ahead and extract the folder with all of the contents onto your Desktop, start the script, and click on "Execute." It will give you some details about what it will be doing, and once you hit "Yes," it will start doing what it has to do and automatically restart Steam.

You can join GeForce NOW and check out membership options on NVIDIA's website.
