Honkai Star Rail dwproton 11.0-10

I have been playing a lot of gacha games recently, and for playing on the Steam Deck, I have been using dwproton. This community-made for of the Proton layer is similar to GE-Proton, but focuses on fixes and updates for gacha games like Zenless Zone Zero, Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, and NTE: Neverness to Everness. And the layer just got a new update that completely fixes Honkai Star Rail.

The new update for dwproton, 11.0-10, completely fixes Honkai Star Rail! Before, it needed a workaround to be fully fixed, but the team has included the same signature workaround method they used in their launcher. The new update also fixes the Netmarble launcher updates that weren't working, HoYoPlay launcher window decorations are fixed, and the NIKKE protonfix should now auto-apply when it needs to.

The proton layer can be downloaded via ProtonPlus, which can be downloaded through the Discover Store in Desktop Mode on the Steam Deck.

dwproton 11.0-10 Update Changelog:

  • Added signature workaround for HSR. Game now works out of the box!
    • This is the same method we were using in our launchers for 3 years, and technically a less proper solution than signed, but unlike locking the build to our signing key, it allows for community effort in dwproton development.
  • Fixed Netmarble Launcher updates not working (#39)
  • Imported patch from Proton-EM fixing window decorations with CEF launchers (such as HoYoPlay)
  • Fixed NIKKE protonfix auto-applying on Steam
