MSI's new handheld is almost here, with the Claw 8 EX AI+ launching in less than a week. It will also ship with Intel's new Arc G3 Processor, so we'll no doubt get to see some comparisons between Intel's new offering and the currently reigning AMD chipsets soon.

The biggest news here, though, is that MSI has revealed the price for the upcoming handheld, with their new store page listing the device for $1799.
Beyond the new Intel Arc G3 Processor, the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ will feature an 8" 1920x1200 120Hz LCD display, 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 1TB of PCIe Gen4 storage. It will also have an 80Wh battery, which should provide a pretty decent battery life, given that the Intel Arc G3 isn't overly power hungry.
There are 2 USB-C ports, both on the top of the device, alongside a 3.5mm port and a MicroSD card slot. The design of the controls is standard for today's handhelds, with 2 programmable back buttons available.

What do you think? Is the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ going to be competitive at $1799? It's perhaps a further sign that the handheld market, and gaming in general, is heading in a more expensive direction.
You can view the MSI listing for yourself here, although the device is currently out of stock.
