Sometimes, I am in the mood to relax with a simple farming simulator to unwind, and then other times, I want to destroy everything in a blaze of glory. Maximum Action is the perfect game to fulfill the latter with some intense physics-based first-person shooting and lots of slow-motion goodness. And yesterday, a new update inched it closer to being a more playable game on the Steam Deck!

The biggest part of this update is the official addition of controller support, which is big for playing on the Steam Deck. With the game's new controller mapping, playing on a portable device has never been easier and feels better, which is wonderful. Official Steam Deck Verification from Valve is still being worked on, but for now, it is playable, and that's amazing.
The developer mentions that the level editor still needs a mouse and keyboard to function, but otherwise, controller support should be great!
Other than that, the engine has been updated to a new version of Unity for better support, and there are some bug fixes, including an enemy tank AI bug, lighting and performance fixes for Town, and some other issues within triggered activate objects in editor levels. There are also some nice vibration, deadzone, and even an aim assist option added!
To wrap it up, they go into a list of things being worked on for the next Maximum Action update, which include new animations, better replay camera angles, performance and load time improvements, and new levels. You can view the full changelog over on their Steam Community Post.

Maximum Action is available to purchase on Steam for $19.99 and is rated Unsupported, but it is playable!
