I absolutely adore Roguelike games on the Steam Deck, and I have played a lot of them over the lifespan of the Deck but Lost in Fantaland stands out to me. It makes me think of Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, or even Into The Breach when I look at it, but at its core, it is a deckbuilding roguelike game, and I dig it. The game was officially released after a stint in Early Access on Steam, and now that it's out, we have some nice improvements for the Steam Deck.

There were a lot of new features, content, and improvements with the launch, but the biggest one that impacts the Steam Deck is easily the full controller support. The changelog mentions that this includes Xbox, DualShock, and DualSense, but also makes specific mention of the Steam Deck. This fixes one of the two issues that made the game "Playable" and not "Verified," so all we need now is a bigger text or font size.
Aside from that, we have a new boss in Chapter 1, new treasures to pick up, multiple new items, a new battlefield interaction, improved tutorials, tons of bug fixes and translation corrections, and a new background texture to separate when cards have been carried and completed in a run. The team also goes over their future plans, which include porting to mobile and console platforms, new DLC content like game modes, and some full-on new games they are working on.
You can view the full changelog via their Steam Community Post.

Lost in Fantaland is on sale for 20% off at $11.19 until October 8th.
