Update 6/2/23: A JSAUX representative responded to us and confirmed this is a transparent front shell that is being teased.

With the incredibly successful kickstarter launch for the awesome OmniCase 2 (which we reviewed), it seems JSAUX isn't slowing down one bit. On the official JSAUX Reddit, one of the moderators there (juran425) posted an update regarding the successful launch and future accessory plans. While they did mention new RGB-Related products, there was one very specific tease that included this photo:

JSAUX Transparent Front Shell

Looking closely, this appears to definitely be a transparent front shell for the Steam Deck. The image above shows a bit of a teardown, along with what looks to be a transparent front. We reached out to JSAUX for confirmation, and while we haven't heard back yet, it would be crazy if this wasn't a transparent front shell. We will update this article once we have more information.

If we are going by their transparent back cover, which is still fantastic, the front shell could include all the parts and tools needed to put it on. We expect it to be significantly more work than putting the back cover on, but it is still amazing to see this feat. It seems the dreams of having a fully transparent Steam Deck are slowly coming true!
