Ever since inZOI was announced, I have been curious to see more of the game. I love The Sims, but I never felt there was a true competitor to the game, so I was stuck just playing that. Then I saw inZOI, and I was captivated. There's something about the game's more realistic visuals that brought me in, but the incredible customization options and content sharing between users is interesting. It looks like a dream sandbox, and it sounds like it will actually be playable on the Steam Deck, despite the heavy requirements.
Over on the official inZOI Discord, and spotted initially by VideoGamer, there is an FAQ that the team posted, and towards the top, there is a question about compatibility with the Steam Deck. Here, they mention that the game is compatible but hasn't been optimized by Valve. The game should run fine, but some settings will need to be adjusted. I was a bit surprised by this, considering the minimum hardware requirements ask for an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU, but I am ready to be surprised.

With the game including FSR 3 and XeSS upscaling, I am definitely intrigued to see if using these will make it possible to play on the Steam Deck. If the minimum hardware requirements are focusing on 1920x1080 resolution and doesn't include upscaling, I could definitely see inZOI being playable with some compromises at 30 FPS.
The only other worry I have is controller support, but that is being worked on too! In the same FAQ, the team mentioned that controller support will not be at Early Access launch, but will be added in later on.
With some improvements and optimizations during early access, I can absolutely see inZOI being very playable and enjoyable on the Steam Deck! I am happy to see the team address it, and I look forward to finding out how the game is first-hand.

inZOI launches on Steam on March 27th and will be $39.99.
