Into the Grid is what I have been wanting in the roguelike deckbuilder scene for a long time now: more innovation! It launched last year and has been steadily improving, with some awesome cyberpunk visual design. The largest update for the game has just gone live, and it should be the start of future Steam Deck support.

Called the Metaprogression Update, this patch shakes up the core gameplay, bringing a more layered progression system that should make the loop much easier to get into, alongside new missions and hardware slots that can be unlocked between runs.
Now the update itself doesn't have anything directly giving it an edge on the Steam Deck, but the developers have confirmed support is coming. Keybindings can now be changed, which the developers have said is the first step towards Deck support. On their Reddit post announcing the update, they confirmed future Steam Deck support is coming, with proper gamepad support and text resizing options on the way. There is also a custom controller profile that the game will load into by default now, so it should still be relatively playable in its current state.
While there's no timeline for these improvements yet, it's still great to see Steam Deck support in mind!

Into the Grid is on sale for $11.99 until May 11th and is rated Playable due to small in-game text and showing incorrect controller icons.
