3D Realms and developer Anshar Studios revealed that Painkiller will be released on October 9 on PC via Steam. It is a reimagination of the classic Painkiller title with new features, including three-player co-op.

They also revealed the game’s Standard and Deluxe Editions to gain different bonus characters and weapon skins when the game launches. Both editions are available on digital storefronts. Saber Interactive has also showcased a pre-order and release date trailer for Painkiller.

The Standard Edition is priced at $39.99 for pre-orders. This also allows you to get your hands on the “Iron Crusade” skin pack that includes skins for all four characters. Ink, Void, Sol, and Roch are the characters that will get the unique skins. You can also get skins for weapons like the Electrodriver, Stakegun, Shotgun, SMG, Hand Cannon, and Rocket Launcher.

For pre-orders of Painkiller’s Deluxe Edition digitally, it's priced at $49.99. This Edition will include “Iron Crusade” ( Bonus Skin Pack), along with post-launch DLCs, six weapon skins, and skins of four characters.

The game features different biomes when battling against enemies in fast-paced combat. You can jump, hook, and dash across vast areas to progress in the maps. You can play the action-adventure with two other friends to explore locations, unveil secrets, and fight against enemies. You encounter different demons and monstrous children of Azazel while progressing. Upgrade your abilities using tarot cards. You can choose to be Ink, Void, Sol, or Roch, and use perks to enhance your energy, health, power, and damage. 

Painkiller is available to pre-order on PC via Steam and will release on October 9, 2025.
