Looking for an addicting hack-and-slash gameplay mixed in with a beautiful pixel-art world? Well you won't need to look around much longer! The long-awaited sequel, Hammerwatch 2, is officially out today and it is accompanied by a brand new trailer to showcase what you can expect in this adventure:

In Hammerwatch 2, you will explore a vast, dynamic open world filled with adventure. Create your character, choose one of 5 classes, level up, unlock new skills, and craft new items and weapons to make yourself as powerful as possible. And of course, you can go at these quests alone or with up to 3 other friends in online co-op modes.

To sweeten the deal, there is also full modding support, so you or others can create their own levels and epic quests for you to take on. These will be downloadable through Steam via the Steam Workshop as well.

Hammerwatch 2 can be purchased on Steam now and is opening with a 10% launch discount at $22.49 until August 22nd. The game is rated Steam Deck Playable with the only rating against it mentioning it is incorrectly scaled. While I am still testing the game, I have not seen anything incorrectly scaled without changing the settings. Everything was set correctly and it is running like a dream so far (60 FPS with around 8W drain). If you are holding off on getting Hammerwatch 2 because of possible Steam Deck issues, I would say you can get it and play without any trouble!
