And that is all for this week! Amazon and Epic Games release new freebies weekly, so we will have our hands full getting through all of them!
If you enjoyed this article, check out the rest of the content on SteamDeckHQ! We have a wide variety of game reviews and news that are sure to help your gaming experience. Whether you're looking for news, tips and tutorials, game settings and reviews, or just want to stay up-to-date on the latest trends, we've got your back.

Can everyone please stop calling games included in subscription services (like Amazon Prime) as "free"? They're literally not free, you pay for the prime and the games are one of the things you're getting for it.
I get that it's good to inform people that have prime what they can get (and it can seem semi-free as the reason why they have prime might not be the games), but this shouldn't be done at the expense of misleading readers that don't have prime.
I barely use Amazon, I order something once a couple of months, the delivery is usually free, I don't like subscription based streaming services. I literally have no usecase for prime (the games alone are not worth it). I hate when there is some article about free games and most of them are literally not free.
I can understand the dissatisfaction due to it technically being locked behind a subscription service, but I do have a couple of reasons for keeping them in articles like this:
Amazon Prime is a common subscription that a lot of people already have, and the games included can be played on the Steam Deck easily via Heroic Launcher or something like NonSteamLaunchers. If you cancel your subscription, the games are also kept in your accounts forever. You may lose the Amazon Prime specific ones, but the games that you redeem to Epic and GOG will stay there. This is a big reason why we don't include things like EA Play or new Game Pass titles since you lose them as soon as you stop subscribing.
I completely respect that you don't like it, and I do agree that it isn't technically free, but I feel the circumstances justify keeping it included in these lists. We try to be as straightforward as possible as well, by listing which ones need Amazon Prime, but since they can be kept even after the subscription ends, I do feel it is fair to include them in the end.
Always love these posts!! Just showing love!
