Here comes a new challenger into the ring! The first fighter in the Year 1 Character Pass for Street Fighter 6 was revealed today and he looks to be an unforgettable addition to the roster. Introducing Rashid of the Turbulent Wind, an Arabian fighter who utilizes a mix of lightning quick movements along with a parkour style to beat down his opponents:

Rashid will be sporting some new and classic moves that maximize his strengths including:

  • Arabian Cyclone: A new special move that performs a spinning kick and conjures up a whirlwind; can be used as a standalone blow, or transitioned into Rolling Assault or Wing Stroke
  • Arabian Skyhigh: A new double jump move that keeps opponents guessing on where Rashid will land from the air
  • Super Rashid Kick: Level 1 Super Art that unloads a devastating kick while soaring forward and up through the air
  • Ysaar: Previously Rashid’s V-Trigger move in Street Fighter™ V, this Level 2 Super Art summons a slow-moving whirlwind projectile that can be used to pressure opponents
  • Altair: Rashid’s Level 3 Super Art calls forth a tempest that lifts opponents before he rains down on them with a monsoon of powerful blows

On top of that, you will not only be able to use him as a fighter in combat, but you will also be able to meet him in World Tour to add his moves to your custom moveset. Starting today, you can get Rashid-related gear, emotes, and more through this month's fighting pass!

The new fighter will be released on July 24th and will be included in the Year 1 Character Pass and owners of the Deluxe or Ultimate edition of Street Fighter 6. We also reviewed the game on the Steam Deck and while it runs exceptionally well in fights in both the Battle Hub and Fighting Ground, it lacks in World Tour, making it necessary to play the mode in 30 FPS.
