I love RPGs, and with so many out there, I am always looking for new ones to try out. There have been some great games to check out, with huge releases like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 captivating many, but DOWNHILL looks interesting in its own right. It's a 2D action RPG about stopping the Queen from harming people, but it has an intriguing twist where the protagonist, Fade, is aware of your existence and control over her. It's an interesting angle that I haven't seen before, and thanks to developer Sisterhood Games hitting their first stretch goal on Kickstarter, it looks like we will have full Steam Deck support as well!

DOWNHILL

Earlier today, DOWNHILL had officially hit their first stretch goal of £26,000 on Kickstarter after getting the game 100% funded 10 days ago, and that means we have Steam Deck compatibility! This is mixed with controller support as well, and according to their project update, it will be available on release. I love seeing games getting Steam Deck support, and this looks like it will be a great, unique experience to take with us on the go.

If they can keep going, the second stretch goal is going to extend the multiple endings that the full release will have. Currently, they are at £26,118, with their next goal set at £32,000. I am definitely very curious to see what this game will be like once released.

I love the whole concept of the main character completely breaking the fourth wall, and it looks like there will be a lot of emphasis on how you cultivate your relationship with her. The project looks very ambitious, though, and I love the artwork. There's a morality-based leveling system, different day and night realities, and much more. I am extremely excited to see what Sisterhood Games is going to do with DOWNHILL, and I will be watching and anxiously awaiting more information.

DOWNHILL can be wishlisted on Steam, along with a demo to try out. And if you want to support development, you can head over to their Kickstarter to support them!
