Fantastic news for Steam Deck fans all around! Cyberpunk 2077 and Gotham Knights were both updated recently to update their versions of FSR to the newest version of 2.1! While Gotham Knights already had FSR 2.0 and probably won't see some performance gains, Cyberpunk went from a much bigger jump of FSR 1.0. There might be some performance gains that aren't as obvious, but visually, the game is significantly more pleasing to the eye.

In Cyberpunk, we have been seeing some massive gains in the framerate department. There is still more testing to be done as to how extensive this will help, but here is an example. In this scene, without FSR 2.1 on, we are seeing a 34 FPS average with a TDP of 10. With no settings changed except for turning FSR 2.1 to quality, we can hit 40 FPS pretty easily.

While there isn't much change to battery or temps, there is very minimal change to the actual visual quality and a significantly better framerate and stability. This also means there is most likely some headroom to change other settings for a lower drain and temp without huge visual sacrifices.

We will be going over the depths of Cyberpunk's FSR implementation in the coming days and reviewing the game with our recommended settings! FSR 2.1 definitely will be a huge help in a 40 FPS build and keeping everything looking fantastic.
