We've been eagerly anticipating the release of Cairn for a while now, and although the game has been delayed before, we were assured on December 4th that the game will be launching on January 29th. We also now have confirmation that the game should play great on the Steam Deck, as it has just netted itself the Verified badge, meaning it has easily readable text, performs well, and has good controls on the Steam Deck.

You'll be expected to plan your route up the mountain, finding the correct path to travel, and manage your resources if you want to survive your journey up a never-summitted mountain.

Cairn will be releasing on Steam on January 29th, 2026, for $29.99, with a 10% launch discount. It is now Steam Deck Verified.
