This game definitely seems to have gone under the radar for me, but Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will be launching on Steam on February 13th, with pre-orders available now. Focus Entertainment has released a new trailer, diving into the game's story, as well as showcasing snippets of gameplay, check it out below.

In Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, you will take on the role of 2 ghost hunters, who are also romantic partners. Tasked with banishing ghosts from the world of the living, what will happen when one of them becomes a ghost? Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden promises to present players with challenging decisions that have profound consequences when it launches next month.

The game will be available in 3 different editions:

Standard Edition ($50)

  • Contains the Base Game
  • Pre-Order Bonus: Wanderer Set DLC

Red Echoes Edition ($85)

  • Contains the Base Game
  • Ancient, Leather-Effect Notebook illustrated with Red's Memories
  • An Ink Writing Set
  • Wanderer Set DLC

Collector's Edition ($200)

  • Contains the Base Game
  • Model Statuette of the 2 player characters, Red and Antea
  • The game's official book
  • A Steelbook
  • 2 Banisher signet rings
  • Wanderer Set DLC

The Red Echoes and Collector's Editions of the game contain physical items and must be bought through Focus Entertainment's store. The Standard Edition of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is available on Steam from February 13th, and you can pre-order from today.

There have been no system requirements mentioned yet, so it's hard to say how or even if the game will run on the Steam Deck, but we are promised full controller support, so that's a step in the right direction.
