While it may not be as popular as Left 4 Dead, it's still cool to see how Turtle Rock Studios continued this type of game. Back 4 Blood isn't perfect, but with the right crew, it is fantastic to work with your friends and take down scores of enemies together. A couple of months ago, there was an update that broke compatibility on the Steam Deck due to the anti-cheat module not loading, but with the most recent hotfix, this shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Two days ago, there was an extremely small update that was released specifically to address the Easy Anti-Cheat issue that was plaguing the Steam Deck. This means that the issue should be completely fixed and loading into the game shouldn't be an issue anymore. The update specifically mentions that the Epic Online Services SDK has been updated, which is most likely what fixed the issue.

While it has its issues, the game is very well optimized on the Steam Deck! It can hit around 60 FPS, which is phenomenal, and makes it a great portable experience. It most likely won't be receiving any new content, so I would consider this a feature complete experience, but with co-op, offline compatibility, and engaging gameplay, it still has some good moments worth your time, especially for $5.99.

Back 4 Blood is available on Steam for $59.99, but if you want to buy it, I would recommend getting it on Humble for $5.99 (90% off!). It is rated Steam Deck Playable due to small in-game text.
