It's been 40 years since Quantum released on arcade cabinets and now, it is next-in-line to be remade! Atari has announced Quantum: Recharged, the remake of Quantum, is on its way and it looks like we have a lot to be excited about.
As part of Atari's Recharged project, Quantum: Recharged is the next game to get the reimagining treatment. In the game, you will have to defeat waves of enemies by circling around and trapping groups of foes in your circle. There are no guns or projectile weapons, you only have your ship and the power of drawing circles, but it isn't as easy as it sounds. You will need to think quick while dodging enemies and figure out the best way to get around and trap them.
Unlike the original game, Quantum: Recharged will have modernized movesets and powerups, challenge and arcade modes, and local co-op with leaderboards for both the game modes mentioned previously. And of course, the visuals have been updated with the times to be more colorful and flashy with a better UI.
Quantum: Recharged will be released on August 17th and you can wishlist now on Steam. With how the minimum specs seem, and with full controller and cloud save support, this seems like it will be an awesome game to play on the Steam Deck too!
