I love some good ol' 2D shooters to play on the Steam Deck, and Angelstruck looks to be one I have to try next. I love how it looks, and the roguelike elements added in make it look like it will be quite enjoyable to replay. On top of that, it just got a new update that helped push it over to the Verified badge, giving it a nice new green checkmark!

To make sure they hit the requirements for the update, developer Feral Paw made some key adjustments to make sure it was good for the device. This includes UI changes for better text legibility at lower resolutions and navigation fixes, a new codex format for better navigation, and starting the game at the correct, native resolution when launched on a Steam Deck. All of these combined got the game where it needed to be for Verification, and it looks like a pleasure to play on the go.

The requirements for the game aren't detailed, but that usually means it isn't very heavy to run, and it has full controller support and cloud saves. All of that put together should make this a formidable experience on the go, and one I really should try for myself soon.
