007 First Light Gets Steam Deck Verified After Fixing Small Text

007 First Light is quite possibly one of the best 007 games out there, and a great game from the developers behind HITMAN. It’s an interesting take on the well-known IP. Instead of telling a tale that we already know, we get to see the beginnings of James Bond and how he became the agent he is in the movies. It’s also been pretty great to play on the Steam Deck, but the game released with the Playable badge. However, that has changed today, and it now has the green Verified checkmark.

The game is available on Fanatical for $60, which can save $10 off of the regular price on Steam.

When the game had the Playable badge, it was due to some parts of the game having small in-game text. However, there must’ve been a patch that fixed the text, because it is no longer an issue. There weren’t any recent update change logs that I could find that noted this, so it’s possible this happened pretty far in the past and just finally got through the queue.

Still, it’s a great game to play on the Deck. We noted in our review that it was quite stable and looks pretty great when taking into account the compromise needed to get it running on the handheld. With how great HITMAN looks and performs on the Steam Deck, I expected good things from 007, and I wasn’t disappointed.

007 First Light can be purchased for $69.99 on Steam, but you can get it for $60 on Fanatical to save $10.
