When it comes to survival games, I have always loved the idea of being stranded on an island and needing to survive and make it back home. Project Castaway looks to be exactly what I am looking for. You are stuck on an island, needing to survive all by yourself. We will have to sail the ocean, explore other islands, gather our resources, and build to create a new life for ourselves. And although it is rated Unsupported, it sounds like we will be able to play on the go soon.

Project Castaway

Earlier today, the game released its 0.2 update, which brings in some nice fixes and quality of life changes. In the Steam Community Post they went over their roadmap for the future, which includes big changes like Challenge Mode and Improved UI, but it also has on it official Steam Deck support. This includes improving performance and fixing the UI to make it readable on the smaller screen.

There's no timeline exactly when this would be improved, but it's great to see it there. We will also be getting Steam Achievements, co-op, an improved underwater biome, and more. As for the 0.2 update, it brings with it new start options, fixes for different bugs, and some quality of life changes, which include an updated engine version, being able to farm yucca, and being able to craft cloth via your journal.

You can check out the roadmap and changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
