With Proton 9.0 released in beta, it was only a matter of time before the community-driven fork made by GloriousEggroll, Proton GE, was updated as well, and now we have that update! This update brings in the latest updates from Proton 9's bleeding edge and updates dxvk and vkd3d to their latest gits. There were also some Wine changes, like Star Citizen's EAC patch being removed, but there were also a ton of new protonfixes.
These protonfixes are all over the place and fix new and old games, as well as some for games outside of Steam! There are Far Cry 3, 4, and Blood Dragon entries added for the There are fixes for Dirt 3, Portal 3, Gabriel Knight 3, and core count fixes for Far Cry 2 and Primal. New ULWGL entries were added for Far Cry 3, 4, and Blood Dragon, as well as Grim Dawn, They Are Billions, and Trails in the Sky 1-3. There are a lot more, and you can check them out below!

- added fix which wil skip running winetricks in protonfixes if no internet connection is available. A winetricks check is performed on every run. If a winetrick is found to be missing it tries to install it. During that time it will check if there is an internet connection available. If there is not one, the winetrick is skipped until the next time the game is run and subsequently the winetrick.)
Known Issue:
- wmv video playback regression in some games (one example being Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3). This is a known regression in upstream proton and they are aware/working on it.
