Warside looks like the perfect game if you enjoy Advance Wars. This fast-paced turn-based game looks exactly like Advance Wars in all the right ways, with gorgeous visuals, cool animations, a solid single-player campaign, multiplayer support, and a level editor. It sounds awesome, and it seems like it's getting a bit better to play on the Steam Deck with the newest update.

In the new bug fix-focused update, we have one specific improvement that is geared for the Steam Deck. The subtitles now have a bit more contrast, which should make it much easier to read on smaller screens with lower resolutions.
The new update also has a bunch of great fixes across the board. This includes a new binding for keyboard and mouse players, enranged units with no target will start the round as "used" so the unit can't be used, the community map browser will automatically load the next set of maps after 50, and Blightguard will spawn correctly in the Krakens Wake mission.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Warside is on sale for $21.59 until July 21st and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.
