Today, the Warhammer Skulls 2024 showcase premiered and gave us a look at some amazing upcoming content for both already released games, upcoming games, and some new premieres! Space Marine 2 got some new multiplayer announcements, Speed Freaks is in open beta, and Mechanicus 2 was announced!

Here are the biggest announcements from the Skulls showcase:

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Reveals Multiplayer Modes

To say the showcase started off strong is an understatement! The first game we got to take a look at is Space Marine 2, which showed off the multiplayer modes we will be able to expect! First, we got a quick look at the 3-player co-op mode "Operations" with six classes you can play around, upgrade, and customize. We also have a 6v6 PvP mode called "Eternal War." Coupled with the 3-player campaign, there will be a lot of great multiplayer experiences to be had!

Warhammer 40K: Speed Freaks Open Beta Announced and Live Now!

The upcoming free-to-play racing game, Speed Freaks, has just been released into open beta and will be available until May 30th. It looks so cool to drive around and take down enemies in high-speed game modes like Kill Konvoy. This mode has two teams of eight facing off against each other to get a giant Stompa to the finish line first. You need to use vehicle combinations to outsmart your opponents, destroy them, gain morale, and be the victor!

Total War: Warhammer 3 Thrones of Decay DLC Out Now - Karanak Hero is Coming Soon

Next up, we got to take a look at some of the new content coming to Total War: Warhammer 3. The Thrones of Decay DLC is out now, which is separated into three packs that bring in new legendary lords, heroes, units, and new mechanics. We have Nurgle the Maggot Lord, Elseph the Dark Lady of Nuln, and Malakai Makaisson of the Dwarfs. We also have Karanak, a free legendary hero which will be releasing soon!

Warhammer 40: Rogue Trader Getting Void Shadows DLC + Steam Deck Verified

A new DLC is making its way to Rogue Trader! Void Shadows is the first DLC and will offer a ton of new content. This includes 15 full hours of gameplay with new threats, quests, two new archetypes, new lore, a new romanceable companion, new crew members, new locations to explore, and the ability to upgrade your voidship! There's a ton to do in the game, so this DLC is going to be a massive expansion to what's already available! It will be released on August 8th.

There was also an announcement that the game has become Steam Deck Verified, which is always nice! I can't say I have tried it yet myself, but it looks like it would be an awesome fit if it works well!

Warhammer 40: Battlesector is Getting a Major Update Today + Upcoming Content Revealed

Today, Battlesector got a massive new update! The update consists of 3 new playable units: The Royal Warden, Pyrovore, and Biovore. We also got to hear a bit about some of the new tweaks and content coming to the game. Multiplayer is getting new tournament formats and official rankings, the plan to reimagine Planetary Supremacy, new Campaigns that are coming in the future, and the announcement that Astra Militarum will be the next major faction added!

Warhammer 40K: Gladius Free to Keep (Maybe) + New DLC

We also have a new FREE game to keep forever! Gladius is free to keep as long as you redeem it during the festival, so until May 30th. It's an awesome 4X strategy game similar to titles like Sid Meier's Civilization. We also have the Demolition Pack DLC, which has 11 new units to add to your arsenal.

Warhammer 40K: Boltgun Getting Forges of Corruption DLC + New Free Updates

We also have a brand new DLC coming for Boltgun! The Forges of Corruption will bring in new environments, enemies, new weapons, and a lot more blood! The DLC will be available on June 18th, but it doesn't stop there. There will be a free new Horde mode with four difficulty levels with achievements and a navigation guide to help you progress through levels. It's a good time to enjoy boomer shooters.

Warhammer 40K: Vermintide 2 Getting New Event, Update, and Versus Mode Alpha

The Left 4 Dead-esque Vermintide 2 is going to be getting some new content! We have a new in-game event where you can participate to earn time-limited rewards, as well as the Winds of Magic update. This new update adds a new loadout sstem, bug fixes, updates to Chest of Trials, weekly expeditions, 30 new Boons, and more! We also have a returning Alpha Test for Versus mode, which will take place from May 30th to June 9th. All owners of the game can participate!

Warhammer 40K: Darktide Getting First In-Game Event and Free Update

Next, we have some updates for Darktide! The Secrets of the Machine God update is coming soon, and will bring a new mission and new weapons like the iconic Bolt Pistol, Ogryn Pickaxes, and a new shotgun. We also have the first in-game event called Hestia's Decollation Crusade, where you will be tasked with destroying the heads of swarms of heretics to gain in-game currencies.

Blood Bowl 3 is Getting a Necromatic Faction with Season 5

Season 5 of Blood Bowl 3 has been announced and coming June 11th! This update brings the Necromantic Horror faction, filled with zombies, werewolves, and wraiths. There is also an exclusive set of dice you can claim from the shop for free, but it will only be available until May 30th. Oh, and we will be getting crossplay!

Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor Gets Offline Mode and New DLC

In an interesting turn of events, Inquisitor has offline mode! Which means you can now play the game without needing to connect to the internet. This is awesome, and perfect for people who want to play on the Steam Deck. This allows you to create a new character to progress with offline. You can't utilize any online modes or transfer characters to and from though. There is also a new Hierophant DLC coming soon, which introduces a new class.

Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus 2 Has Been Revealed!

In a turn of events, the followup to Mechanicus has been announced, and we couldn't be more excited! You will utilize fast-paced tactical combat with strategic management to overwhelm your enemies. You will be able to deploy and upgrade your characters, manage garrisons, and choose who you want to take into battle wisely.
