It may have taken quite some time (19 years in fact), but Virtua Fighter 5 is finally available on PC! After launching in 2006 in arcades, 2007 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and 2021 on the PlayStation, 2025 is finally the time for the PC to receive Virtua Fighter 5 in the form of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O..

Due to the age of the game, it's not a full-price release, instead releasing for $19.99, with a 20% launch discount knocking that down to $15.99 until February 3rd.

You can check out the launch trailer for the game below:

The release is based on the more recent Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown released in 2021 for the PlayStation 4, including the balance adjustments that were brought in for that game, and rollback netcode.

They've also added the ability for the game to be run at resolutions up to 4k, and support 60 FPS, so you can have a crisp and smooth experience.

There is also a 30th Anniversary Edition of the game available for $49.99 which includes a Soundtrack Collection that includes more than 220 unreleased tracks, an artbook containing sketches and other art from the game's pre-production phase, beachwear for all characters, the Legendary Pack DLC, a Yakuza Series collaboration pack, as well as in-game Rank Titles and Wallpapers.

Announced during the most recent VF Direct, fans can also look forward to the Virtua Fighter Open Championship, a global tournament using the Steam version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., which will be held in Spring 2025. The winners of the regional qualifiers will face off at the Grand Final Tournament.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is available now on Steam for $19.99. With a 20% off launch discount until February 3rd, 2025. The game has full controller support, and the system requirements make us hopeful that it will run ok on the Steam Deck.
