The Horde Wants You Dead was a pre-Halloween release this year that is a co-op top-down shooter, and despite some pretty rough issues, it’s something I have had some fun with. While playable on the Steam Deck, it came with some rough readability problems for most players, and the newest polishing patch brings improvements to that with some nice new changes.

Font sizes have been tweaked to help with the eligibility on the Deck, and text chat is finally available in multiplayer games, so players have a way to talk to each other. I find it a little baffling that this wasn’t in The Horde Wants You Dead at launch, but it is good to see it finally in the game. RNG has also been improved regarding card distribution in the supply crates.
