As reported by GamingOnLinux, THE FINALS has begun a rollout of Denuvo Anti-Cheat, which should be completed by next week. Alongside this, they're also improving their detection of "gamepad spoofing" to try and cut down on Keyboard + Mouse players gaining an unfair advantage by gaining the use of Aim Assist, which is generally only for controller players, such as those on the Steam Deck.

There has also been a mid-season update to add a new event, GHOUL RUSH, to the game, which sounds like your classic "Infection" game mode, where Survivors are turned into Ghouls upon death and, in turn, must hunt down the remaining Survivors.

The Denuvo Anti-Cheat shouldn't affect playability on Linux/Steam Deck, but we will keep you updated if this isn't the case.

THE FINALS is available as a Free-To-Play game on Steam.
