Survivor Mercs is an awesome roguelike that I am enjoying way more than I expected. It's a twin-stick shooter where you will fight waves of enemies, get exp, and upgrade your team with passive upgrades. Interestingly, there are a lot of ways to upgrade and become more powerful during your run, including recruiting a team that will attack enemies with you. It's awesome, and a new update makes it much better to play on the Steam Deck.

There are some pretty massive improvements to this update, but only one of them is specific to the Steam Deck. The readability of the UI has been improved on the Deck, which means the text should all be much easier to read on the smaller screen. It runs pretty decently on the Steam Deck, though it will get a little harder to run when there's a ton of enemies on the screen.
However, this is the 11th major update for the game, and there are some big changes. The leveling system has been improved, the commander level cap has been increased from 90 to 150, Traits and Rooms have a much more notable impact on base attributes, gear and weapons have been adjusted, there are now auto-fire and auto-aim options, and there have been a plethora of fixes across the board.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Survivor Mercs is available for $7.99 and is rated Verified.
