SteamOS

It's always great to see Valve pumping out new updates consistently, and OS updates are even more exciting to me! In the newest preview update for SteamOS, which was released two days ago, we have a couple of nice fixes to make it better to use overall. A sound issue that would cause no output in games that open and close audio devices quickly has been fixed, and there have been some general stability and security improvements.

While they don't go into detail about what the improvements are, it is wonderful to see regardless. Any stability improvements are more than welcome, and I do love having extra security when I can!

SteamOS 3.5.18 Preview Changelog:

  • Fixed an issue causing no sound output in games that open and close audio devices quickly like Super Blood Hockey
