I have said it once, and I’ll say it again: I can’t wait for the Steam Frame. I’ll take any reason to get back into VR, as I do miss embarrassing myself in unique worlds. The Steam Frame seems like the perfect device to do that with. Recently, Valve created the “Great on Frame” page and started to slowly add compatibility ratings for the Frame, but it looks like things are ramping up pretty quickly, which could be another big indicator of an announcement soon.

Over the last 24 hours, 16 games have gotten their compatibility rating. Before this, it was usually 1 every few days, but now, it seems to be going a lot quicker. The games that got their rating include Beat Saber, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Vacation Simulator, Ink Inside, and Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR.
While it has been significant that any games are getting their ratings, it’s very telling that so many have gotten their ratings at once. It could be just Valve catching up on the backlog in their verification queue, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are starting to verify more games to make sure there are a lot of games ready for play as soon as the Frame launches. By this logic, we will most likely see a Steam Frame announcement next week or the week after, but I wouldn’t be surprised if an announcement comes before July ends.
