There weren't a ton of new Steam Deck Verified/Playable games over the last week, but there are still some great ones. The upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Blippo+ both got their green checkmarks, while Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War Definitive Edition both saw themselves get the Playable badge.

Here are the 10 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazingly out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the system and how it can be fixed.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (Verified)

Race across land, sea, air, space, and time in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Warp through Travel Rings into new dimensions where something new awaits around every twist and turn.

The game is available for pre-purchase for $69.99 ahead of its September 25th release, but you can save some money and get it on Fanatical for $60.89. It is rated Verified, but will require an online connection at all times, even in single-player.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings (Verified)

Based on The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy, LEGO® The Lord of the Rings follows the original story-lines of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, taking players through the epic story events re-imagined with the humor and endless variety of LEGO play.

The game is on sale for $3.99 until September 2nd and is rated Verified.

Risk of Rain Returns (Verified)

Carefully designed, beautifully remastered, and loaded with new ways to play—Risk of Rain is back and better than ever! Dive into the iconic roguelike full of unique loot combinations, enhanced with new Survivors, overhauled multiplayer, fan favorite content from Risk of Rain 2, and more!

The game is on sale for $11.24 until September 4th and is rated Verified.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar (Playable)

Searching for a peaceful farm life, a fresh mountain breeze, and your own market stall? Look no further than the friendly community of Zephyr Town! Here you’ll grow crops and raise animals, get to know the locals, and sell your wares at the town's bazaar to restore it to its former glory.

The game is $49.99 on Steam, but you can get it on Fanatical for $42.27 with coupon code OMENVIP. It's rated Playable due to not supporting the native display resolution, but from personal experience, I can confirm it's fantastic on the Deck.

Boxville (Verified)

Boxville is an adventure puzzle game about speechless cans living in the city of boxes and drawing doodles on cardboards to tell the stories. Made in Ukraine.

The game is $6.99 and is rated Verified.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition (Playable)

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition is the ultimate Dawn of War experience, featuring the original Dawn of War and all its expansions, along with enhanced visuals, an improved camera, and 64-bit platform support.

The game is $29.99, though if you own the original game, it will be $19.99. It's rated Playable due to small in-game text, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, showing incorrect controller icons, and needing a community controller configuration.

Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking (Playable)

In this absurd co-op horror game you are medieval monks--and the only chefs who can prevent the apocalypse. Feed enormous monsters with a catapult, evade supernatural enemies, and navigate a reality-bending labyrinth with up to 4+ players!

The game is $7.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.

Blippo+ (Verified)

Blippo+ is a live-action, off-cable TV simulator. Channel-surf the stars and discover the staticky, radical world of Planet Blip through its soaps, sitcoms, news, weather, and talk shows. But don’t touch that remote—everything’s about to get bent.

The game can be wishlisted ahead of its September 23rd release date. It's rated Verified.

Fireside Feelings (Verified)

Share your thoughts and discover those shared by others, in Fireside Feelings. Gather around the welcoming warmth of the campfire and take part in conversations between real people separated in space and time. Sometimes, we all need a good talk under the stars.

The game is $7.99 and is rated Verified.

Star Vortex (Verified)

Star Vortex is a fast paced Action-RPG inspired by classics of the genre. Design your ship, fight your way through hostile alien sectors, upgrade as you salvage rare weapons and experiment with different builds until nothing can stand against you.

The game is $24.99 and is rated Verified.
