This last week saw some big games get their Steam Deck Verified/Playable badges, with some being complete surprises! Wuthering Waves got its anti-cheat fixed and now has a Playable badge, while somehow, Avowed got the green checkmark, even with its performance issues.

Here are the 11 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazingly out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the system and how it can be fixed.

Wuthering Waves (Playable)

Wuthering Waves is a story-rich open-world action RPG with a high degree of freedom. You wake from your slumber as Rover, joined by a vibrant cast of Resonators on a journey to reclaim your lost memories and change the world.

The game is free to play and rated Playable due to having a launcher that needs the touchscreen, needing a community controller configuration, and needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard.

Brickadia (Playable)

Brickadia is a next-generation brick building sandbox that gives you the tools to create and play, your way. Build massive worlds, invent cool contraptions, and play in them however you like - all with your friends!

The game is $29.99 and rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons and small in-game text.

Neon Abyss 2 (Verified)

Dive into the cybermyth roguelike chaos of Neon Abyss 2! Now featuring up to 4-player online co-op, more combat styles, and unlimited item synergies, every run delivers a dramatic, action-packed experience you won't forget.

The game is on sale for $17.99 until July 31st and is rated Verified.

Phantom Squad (Verified)

Phantom Squad is an intense 1-4 player tactical top-down shooter that blends fast-paced combat with real-time strategy.

The game is on sale for $9.79 until August 1st and is rated Verified.

Inn Tycoon (Verified)

Welcome to Inn Tycoon! Build, design, and manage your dream inn. Serve delightful meals, offer various services, and hire a stellar staff. Create a top-notch hospitality empire and become the ultimate Inn Tycoon!

The game is $9.90 and is rated Verified.

Contraband Police (Verified)

Take over the duties of a border guard inspector in a communist country of the 80's. Smuggling, corruption and forgery are the order of the day here. Be vigilant and earn the respect of your superiors.

The game is $29.99 and is rated Verified.

No Way Home (Verified)

Stranded in a strange galaxy, you must fight for survival using only your wits, your ship, and your party planning robot companion Matey. Explore the universe, befriend bizarre aliens, and blast through hordes of monsters as you endeavor to find a way home.

The game is $9.99 and is rated Verified.

Kaizen: A Factory Story (Playable)

Kaizen is an open-ended puzzle automation game from the original Zachtronics team, set in 1980s Japan. Design, build, and optimize production lines to create iconic products, like calculators, camcorders, and arcade machines.

The game is on sale for $17.99 until July 28th and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons and small in-game text.

Rekindled Trails (Verified)

Gather and Sell faraway goods to rebuild ruined towns and bring back light to a dark world in this cozy adventure game. With the help of your fire companion, fish, pull and mine natural resources in Aurteris to unite the people of this strange yet fantastic world!

The game is $17.99 and is rated Verified.

Rise of Industry 2 (Playable)

Navigate the competitive industrial landscape of vibrant 1980's USA! Make strategic manufacturing decisions, optimize production chains, acquire technologies, and expand your global business network with key contacts. Opportunities await those savvy enough to capitalize on them!

The game is $34.99 and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons, small in-game text, and needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard and change graphical settings for optimal performance.

Avowed (Verified)

Avowed is a first-person fantasy RPG set in the world of Eora, where your choices carve a path through war, intrigue, and ancient mysteries. Navigate a land in turmoil, forge powerful alliances or deadly rivalries, and wield magic and steel to shape the fate of the Living Lands—and your own destiny.

Avowed is $69.99 and is rated Verified. However, based on our experience after its latest update, I would still consider it hard to enjoy and not deserving of the green checkmark.
