Valve just pushed out a new Steam Deck OS Beta update, updating the graphics driver to Mesa 23.1. This contains a plethora of fixes, including fixing Ray-Tracing for DOOM Eternal and even fixing graphical corruption issues that are happening with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty!

Steam Deck OS 3.4.6 Beta Update:

  • Updated the graphics driver to Mesa 23.1, containing many functional and performance fixes:
    • Fixed graphical corruption issues with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
    • Ray-Tracing is now available in DOOM Eternal
    • Fixed graphical corruption issues and GPU crashes in several upcoming titles

With our review already out, I will be re-testing with this beta update and seeing how much better the game runs. Hopefully, this will be pushed out to the stable channel soon since this graphics driver update seems to be a pretty essential one in general.
