Squirreled Away is a game that I very much want to play. It looks like an adorable sandbox-esque game where you play as a Squirrel, hunting for materials, crafting, and building treehouses. It looks like a ton of fun to play, whether it be solo or in co-op, and it sounds like it's going to be getting a bit better on the Steam Deck too.

The new update includes a good chunk of new content, as well as two things that should help playability on the Steam Deck. We have specific resolution issues that were patched up, as well as full button remapping support! While we can do the latter in SteamOS, it's nice to have it natively in the game, and now we do.
On top of that, Creative Mode has been added to the game! This way, you can build your treehouse without worrying about gathering resources and any building restrictions. There are three starting templates currently, and once you get in, you should be good to go. You can also now build bouncy shrooms, rename your park, there are extra save slots, improved performance in co-op sessions, shadows have been added to placement highlights, and more.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Squirreled Away is on sale for $9.74 until June 1st and is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, and small in-game text.
