It doesn't take much research to find horror stories about the mental asylums of the 19th and 20th centuries, and two-person indie dev team Zeitglas Games from Switzerland saw an opportunity to explore deeper and put YOU in charge of a 20th-century mental asylum in Sanatorium: A Mental Asylum Simulator, which just got a release date of November 6th.
Fabian Hunziker, cofounder of Zeitglas Games, had this to say: "Sanatorium has been a passion project for years. Our goal has been to craft a deeply immersive experience that challenges players to question their decisions and reflect on the history of mental health. Announcing makes all of this very real - both scary and exciting - and we can’t wait to see players explore it on November 6."
Players will be confronted with making moral decisions on the treatments they give their patients, using what little medical experience and knowledge were available at the time surrounding mental health issues. But ultimately, players are seeking to find the mystery behind the facade of this asylum.

Sanatorium: A Mental Asylum Simulator is releasing on November 6th on Steam, and the developers have specifically mentioned that the game is launching on the Steam Deck, so we shouldn't have to worry about whether or not the game will run well on the device.
