Earlier today, the new 1.1 update for the Stone Age farming/life-sim Roots of Pacha was released, which brought in new fixes, as well as tons of new content all around, including a new romanceable character and cross-platform play. All of this seems exceptionally promising and exciting, including a specific fix for the Steam Deck to get it working right when the system is docked.
Specifically for the Deck, the game will now correctly recognize an external controller, which will translate over to docked mode perfectly. This is a great game to play docked on the big screen, considering how well it generally runs. It also has native Linux support, which is always a pleasure to see.
As for the rest of the 1.1 updates, there is a new Year 2 animal, you can sit in decorations, Voda is romanceable, multiple new cutscenes, new dishes, new clothing items, new furniture, fish quality, Japanese language support, and cross-platform play. This means if you have friends on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4/5 and want to play with them, you now can. There are also some performance improvements to load time, framerate, and memory usage. You can view the full changelog over on Steam.
Roots of Pacha is currently on a 20% sale on Steam until December 5th and is $19.99.
