Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms publishing label and Knights Peak released Tempest Rising back in April, and now they have released a new update for it, Rally & Recon. Experience distinct enhancements for multiplayer and beyond in this new major update. The update adds 2v2 ranked multiplayer, six reconfigured maps, and much more.

There is also a 20% discount on the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Tempest Rising. However, this offer is for a limited time up to July 10. The base game, digital artbook, and the digital game soundtrack are included in the Deluxe Edition.

The Rally & Recon update's main highlight is the new 2v2 ranked multiplayer mode. Spectator mode, main menu chat, and six reconfigured multiplayer maps are also featured in this recent update. While four of these maps are designed for 2v2 play, including the unique spawn locations, the other two are set for 1v1 dueling maps with symmetrical spawn locations. Not only are there different bug fixes, but also two additional player avatar icons available as PROS sign-up rewards. Players can access them from the main menu in the game.

There is also a new Deluxe Pre-order Bonus Pack if you pre-ordered Tempest Rising’s Deluxe Edition. Two main menu backdrop videos and four player profile icons are included in this Bonus Pack. So, log in to the game to get your hands on these exclusive bonuses.

Tempest Rising is a real-time strategy video game that allows players to jump into a battle-scarred 1997. The Cuban Missile Crisis went nuclear, as the players dive into the alternate timeline in the game. Unique asymmetrical factions, classic RTS base building, and fast, hard-hitting gameplay are featured in the two-epic single-player campaigns, ranked multiplayer, and skirmish mode.
