It has been a while since I have played a game like Phantom Squad, and I have missed it. The co-op top-down shooter is extremely fun to play with others, and the required coordination makes it a blast to have at a party. And if you are playing on the Steam Deck, learning how to play the game just got a little bit easier.

The update contains several fixes and quality-of-life improvements, one of which is specific to the Steam Deck. The tutorial text and UI for the game were a bit small, which made learning how to play difficult. With this update, that has been fixed, and we can now learn to play with ease.
The update also includes a new feature, allowing quickpinging to be used more easily. There were also fixes for melee attacks not hitting sometimes, hostages not following players in between floors, and bullets sometimes going through the enemy if they are too close. We also have some mission specific fixes, but since those could contain spoilers, I won't detail them here.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Phantom Squad is on sale for $9.79 until August 1st and is rated Verified.
