All the Announcements at Today's Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

In case you missed it, we were just treated to a 25-minute Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase today, with Nintendo showcasing a bunch of games by their development partners, so no 1st party titles were shown today. But there's still plenty to get excited for, with games being shown for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. I'll clarify what consoles each game is for.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Announced for 2026 on Switch 2 and PC

Monster Hunter Stories is getting another iteration. The spin-off series, all about co-existing with Monsters rather than hunting them, is getting its third release. It looks like this one will be launching on both Nintendo Switch 2 and PC in 2026.

Once Upon a Katamari, Releasing on Switch & PC on October 24th, 2025

Katamari fans rejoice! We've got another one! Once Upon a Katamari takes you through various periods in history as you once again roll to save the universe. You don't have long to wait, as Once Upon a Katamari is releasing on October 24th, 2025, on Nintendo Switch (1) and PC.

It looks like the game includes a soundtrack player, as well as multiplayer, so we'll probably have that theme song stuck in our heads for another few years yet...

Just Dance 2026 Edition Launches on October 14th on Switch

I don't know if anyone plays Just Dance anymore, but if you do, then you'll be glad to hear that Just Dance 2026 Edition is launching on the Nintendo Switch on October 14th, with 40 songs to dance to.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Releases on Switch & Switch 2 on November 14th, 2025

It's a game we've been quite familiar with in the PC space, and was a great boost for Dragon Ball fans with its solid gameplay, but now it's time for Nintendo players to get a chance, with Sparking! Zero launching on both Switch 1 and Switch 2 later this year.

It will be interesting to see the performance on Switch 1, as the Steam Deck did struggle to run this game a bit.

Plants Vs. Zombies: Replanted Remakes the Original Game for Switch & PC

If you were a fan of the original Plants Vs. Zombies game back in the day (Not Garden Warfare), then you'd have been pleasantly surprised to see the remake get confirmed after being rumored for the past few days. It's not just a straight port either, as the game has improved visuals, along with local co-op and PvP with a friend.

The game releases on October 23rd, 2025, on Switch, Switch 2, Steam, and Epic Games Store for $19.99.

EA Sports FC 26 is Coming to Switch & Switch 2 on September 26th

The Switch might not be the first platform ex-FIFA players think of going to when each iteration releases, but it's good to see that EA is at least pushing support for both Switch systems, with the Switch 2 seemingly getting an improved look compared to the Switch 1.

Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac is Coming September 26th, 2025

After the original Pac-Man World was successfully "Re-Pac'd" in 2022, its sequel is now getting the same treatment, with the game releasing on September 26th, 2025. This upgrade also features local co-op and is coming to Switch 1, Switch 2, and PC.

Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles Gets a New Trailer, Releases September 30th

After previously being announced back in June, Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles reaffirmed its release date of September 30th today, as well as stating that the game will have Switch 1 and Switch 2 editions. The game has already been confirmed for PC.

Persona 3 Reload Announced for Switch 2, Releases October 23rd, 2025

While the original Switch has access to Persona 3 Portable, the Switch 2 will soon get access to Persona 3 Reload, the remake that improves the visuals as well as adds a bunch of quality of life improvements to the game.

The game has already been released on PC.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Confirmed for Winter 2025 with New Trailer

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment received a new trailer during the Nintendo Direct today, and perhaps most importantly, the release date was confirmed to be Winter 2025 on Switch 2.

EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 Confirmed for Switch 2, Launches August 14th, 2025

For those of you into American Football, you'll be glad to know that Madden NFL 26 will be coming to the Switch 2. This marks the first time that the Madden NFL franchise has been available on a Nintendo platform since Madden NFL 13 back in 2012 on the Wii and Wii U.

The game will also launch on PC on August 14th.

Chillin' By the Fire, a Cosy Fire-Building Social Simulator, Out Now on Switch 2

Chillin' By the Fire is a social, cosy game exclusively on Switch 2, partly because it uses the system's Game Chat feature to allow players to connect a USB camera to their Switch 2 systems and see each other in-game, all designed around encouraging conversation between friends.

Apex Legends Releases on Switch 2, August 5th

Those of you who are into Apex Legends will be happy to hear that the game is coming to Switch 2 on August 5th to coincide with the new "Showdown" season.

Hela, a Cute Co-op Adventure, Launches on Switch 2 & PC in 2026

Hela looks like an adorable game where you play as a mouse on an adventure to find a cure for your owner. It's playable in co-operative play both locally and online, releasing on both Switch 2 and PC next year.

Star Wars Outlaws Launches on Switch 2, September 4th, 2025

Despite reports swirling around the past few days that Ubisoft has internally cancelled the sequel to Star Wars Outlaws, that hasn't stopped the company from porting the original Star Wars Outlaws game to Switch 2, which is launching on September 4th. Let's hope the Switch 2 can run it better than the Steam Deck, as enforced ray-tracing makes the game difficult to run.

Cronos: The New Dawn Comes to Switch 2 & PC, September 5th, 2025

Something for Survival Horror fans now, and the upcoming Cronos: The New Dawn has been confirmed for Switch 2. This third-person survival horror with time-traveling elements is sure to keep you on your toes as you must travel in time to absorb souls to become stronger, while preventing your foes from absorbing the souls of fallen enemies themselves.

The game is releasing on both Switch 2 and PC on September 5th, 2025.

Yakuza Kiwami & Yakuza Kiwami 2 are Coming to Switch 2, November 13th, 2025

These games have been out a while now on PC and other platforms, but after the Switch 1 received a Yakuza Kiwami release last year, it was only a matter of time before Kiwami 2 showed up. Surprisingly, though, Kiwami 2 is a Switch 2 exclusive, meaning Switch players are stuck with just Kiwami 1. Kiwami 1 is also getting a Switch 2 edition, which will improve the visuals.

This means the Switch 2 will have access to Yakuza 0, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2. Here's hoping SEGA shows some love to Yakuza 3-5 and we get a proper remaster of them soon.

Goodnight Universe Arriving on Switch, Switch 2, & PC on November 11th, 2025

Goodnight Universe is from the team behind Before Your Eyes, and as you might expect, uses your camera to do eye-tracking for gameplay purposes. In this instance, you play as 6-month-old Isaac, who is developing mysterious psychic powers. Keep yourself safe from a corporation that wants you for themself.

NBA Bounce Launches on September 26th, 2025 for Switch & PC

NBA Bounce is a family-friendly NBA game, at least that's what the developers state. I figured most basketball games would be family-friendly. Regardless, this one is a cutesy take on the sport, and allows up to 4 players to play locally together. It's launching on both Switch 1 and PC.

Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven is Out Now on Switch 2

After launching last year on PC, Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven just launched on Switch 2 today, along with Patch 1.1.0, which adjusted some abilities and items for balance as well as bug fixes, which applies to the PC version of the game too.

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Launches August 29th, 2025 on Switch & PC, Demo Out Now

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance was very briefly shown during the Nintendo Direct, but it also dropped news of a demo being released for both Switch and PC via Steam, so if you're excited for the game, you can head on over to your respective store and check it out.

Borderlands 4 Gets Switch 2 Release Date, Launches October 3rd, 2025

Borderlands 4 was also part of the quick-fire section, confirming a release date on Nintendo Switch 2 for October 3rd, a few weeks after the release on PC on September 12th.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Announced for Switch 2 and PC, Releases 2026, Demo Out Now

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a new IP from Square Enix. This new HD-2D Action RPG follows the tale of Elliot, who is venturing into unknown lands for the first time to uncover the history of his world.

Octopath Traveler 0 Announced, Prequel Launches December 4th, 2025 on Switch 2 & PC

This one was leaked prior to the Nintendo Direct, so we kind of knew it was coming, but Octopath Traveler 0 serves as a prequel to the Octopath Traveler games. You will be able to design your own protagonist in the character creator, as well as restore your hometown with the new building feature.

That's all for this Nintendo Direct. There wasn't too much in this one for me personally, but I am excited for Hela, and I always like to see the Yakuza/Like A Dragon games get more love!
