Conan Exiles Enhanced Edition Will Include Steam Deck Support

Survival games are some of my favorites to play with friends, and while I am a fan of Rust and ARK, one of my favorites is Conan Exiles. I had so much fun playing through it with my friends, running around the deserted world, building up our base, and taking down beasts with the fantastic melee combat. It has been a while since I played, but I would love any excuse to go back, especially if that meant playing it on the Steam Deck. It seems like that moment is coming soon, because a new version of the game will include handheld support.

A new update for the game is going to be coming soon, which enhances many different aspects of the original release. Conan Exiles Enhanced is a free major update that will have tons of different enhancements, bringing new life to the game that has been around for quite some time. One of those new enhancements is Steam Deck support, which is specifically listed. There aren’t any details as to what the support specifically is, but they do mention strong performance on the Deck. I am quite curious about how exactly it will perform, because this new version of the game upgrades the engine to Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), and we have seen lots of issues with UE5 games on the Deck.

Even still, this update sounds incredible. The two worlds in the game are now merged, so you can use one character to travel between both of them. We also have support from multiple character slots, enhanced mechanics for building and crafting, including crafting from storage, a revamped UI, and more. All this sounds like a great reason to come back and try the game out again, so I know what I will be doing as soon as this update drops.

The Conan Exiles Enhanced update will be released on May 5th to celebrate the game's 8th anniversary. You can also buy Conan Exiles now for $39.99 on Steam, or get it on GreenManGaming for $33.99 with coupon code APR15.
