A new SteamOS Beta update was released a couple of days ago with some nice fixes for users on the Steam Deck, Legion Go S, and the ASUS ROG Ally. VRR frame pacing has been fixed when the performance overlay is on screen, game stuttering when using the volume keys is no longer a problem, the Legion Go S joystick lights will stay on in Desktop Mode, and grip buttons will register correctly on the ROG Ally.
You can download the update yourself in the System Settings on the Steam Deck. Make sure your update channel is set to Beta or Preview.

- Fixed a case where the battery level indicator could become stuck
- Fixed VRR frame pacing with the performance overlay on screen
- Fixed game stuttering when using the volume keys
- Fixed Legion Go S joystick lights turning off upon entering desktop mode
- Fixed controller input occasionally disappearing on the Asus ROG Ally
- Fixed grip buttons not registering on the Asus ROG Ally
- Fixed a hang on boot on Strix Point platforms
