When it comes to open-world survival games, Necesse is one of the coolest. You and your friends will run around a procedurally generated world to build your own settlement, conquer dungeons, and craft everything you’ll need in your arsenal and home. I love what developer Fair Games is doing with the game, and the newest update includes a nice bug fix for the Steam Deck.

Necesse

The new update, which is more of a hotfix, includes a bunch of fixes across the board. On the Steam Deck, there is one fix in particular. The drawing cursor would sometimes appear and stay on the screen, even when it isn’t being used. While I don’t believe this issue ever happened to me, it’s nice to see it fixed regardless.

As for the rest of the hotfix, the improvements span across the entirety of the game. Switching creative menu tabs in the brand new Creative Mode won’t make the keyboard stop functioning, tooltips will now always show when using the controller cursor mode, and chat will no longer cut off messages when the log becomes too long.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
