INFERIUS is an upcoming first-person psychological horror deckbuilder developed by Lucid Rain Studios and inspired by The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri and Lovecraftian horror. Veterans from BioWare and Ubisoft, along with developers from the GTA V and Metro teams, are featured in this project.

You’re a Pilgrim, lost, damned, and marked in INFERIUS, where you are armed with a lantern and a growing deck. The dominions of hell are ruled by a grotesque entity, and you need to survive there. Tactical card duels play a major role in combat rather than blades and bullets. Each decision you make will heavily influence your fate. Find clues in the world, form your deck, and win every fight.
Your sanity begins to fracture when you progress further in the game. The gameplay loop is based around die, return, rebuild, and try again with new insight. You will also gain power and new abilities when you defeat each ruler, but you will also bend your perception. You will descend again to confront the truth as the inferno changes with each run.
An Announcement Trailer for INFERIUS has also been released by Lucid Rain Studios.
Gather upgrade, craft a custom Tarot-inspired deck, and fight the battle with turn-based mechanics. Each of the dominions offers enemies, mechanics, and visual themes. Solve puzzles, reveal secrets, and prevent your sanity while illuminating paths. You will encounter grotesque, fear-driven creatures and surreal environments.
INFERIUS is set to launch on Steam in 2026 and is available to wishlist now.
